A different take on timeless classics.

This summer, Manchester will experience a night of dance classics, performed in a unique setting, unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. Witness your favourite dance classics being brought to life, by Classical Uproar’s live orchestra, in the magnificent Manchester Monastery, Friday 25 August 2017.
Conducted by Simon Robertshaw (BBC Philharmonic), this special performance will feature a classical take on Manchester’s rave favourites including Hardcore Uproar, Age of Love and Dreams of Santa Anna.
With extra special guest vocals from Alison Limerick, performing a one-off version of her international dance hit ‘Where Love Lives’; plus old school keyboard maestro and singer,
Luke Neptune and the super talented Bekka from Nightgeist.
Support DJ’s on the night include Manchester’s own Richard Moonboots and Jason
Boardman (Aficionado) and Phil Rose/Jagerrosso, resident DJ at Edit/Midnight Riot.

Where love lives
This special performance will see one of the Norths most beautiful venues paired with a classical take on some of Manchester’s rich history of rave.

The Venue

Classical Uproar are proud to be hosting a different take on timeless dance classics at the Manchester Monastery, Gorton.
The Monastery has long been a hidden treasure amongst Manchester’s rich heritage of unique and visually stunning venues.
Following a £6.5 million restoration scheme, this amazing venue offers a truly visual feast with its breathtaking light show throughout the venues impressive cloisters and gardens.
Teamed with the Monastery’s outstanding acoustics we couldn’t think of a more fitting venue to host Classical Uproar’s live orchestral debut.

Is there a bar?

There is a bar situated in the main hall, serving a range of alcoholic beverages including draught/bottle beers, a selection of wine, house spirits and the usual variety of soft drinks.

Last orders at 11.30pm. The bars operate a check 21 ID policy so if you’re lucky enough to look under 25 we suggest bringing a valid ID just in case!

Is there an afterparty?

Details of the official Classical Uproar afterparty will be announced very soon – watch this space or like our Facebook page for regular updates and event teasers!

Dress Code

We have no strict dress code but since Classical Uproar is a visually stunning event, we suggest you dress to impress. 
Classy comfort and trainers are an acceptable choice of attire for all you ravers who just want to dance, but we suggest leaving the old school popper pants at home!

Admission & Parking

This event is strictly 18 years and over – bring your ID if you have a young face.
Doors open 7.30pm and the event finishes at 12.00am.
Please respect our neighbours when leaving the venue – the party will continue in a location TBC.

There is ample FREE parking available on site.
No cars to be left overnight / Any cars left at the venue overnight are done so at the owner’s risk.
